In brief: It's possible
Sodas have a high concentration of sodium, which actually makes you more thirsty.
And most sodas have caffeine which is addicting.

In brief: Thirsty?
You may be substituting soda for what your body needs, water and electrolytes.
You may also have an elevated blood sugar. Change to water, and if that does not help, see your doctor for tests.

In brief: Thirsty with soda
Diet soda has the chemical that replace sugar.
Coffee in soda ( if you only drink soda instead of water) about 6-7 cups a day in soda or maybe even more (half a cup of coffee in each 10.Oz of soda), along with alcohol are chemicals that trigger the kidney make more urine. Higher metabolism due to coffee also make the body sweat more + breathe more water out. Severe long term hurt.
