Would consuming alcohol on day 1 effect working out on day 2? For l seem to have less energy during workout when I have drinks up to 24 hours prior.

In brief: Alcohol = a toxin

No matter how enjoyable even moderate alcohol drinking may be, the fact remains that it is a toxin for your body -- especially liver and brain.
Essentially you're asking your body to process a poison. So, your body will be less efficient both during intoxication and until all traces of alcohol have been processed. Remember that hangover is multifaceted. Be well.
