Will I have to wear those blue socks on my feet after surgery or can I take my own designer ones?

In brief: Your choice

Not all of the "sox" provided by hospitals are blue, and none are mandatory after your surgery.
But they are different from yours in that they have non-slip materials on the soles to minimize the risk of a fall - so they are a good idea.

In brief: Sticky feet

Usually it is best to wear footwear or socks that have sticky things on the bottom to avoid slips.
Most facilities will allow you to wear your own.
