Recov from pleurisy and pleural effusion. Sle pt. 2.5 months still have pain that goes into rt shoulder. Sed, CRP now norm. How long does pain last?

You are not on conventional steroids and not on hydroxychloroquine.
Acthar is heinously expensive and as minor advantages. Certainly a NSAID pain med can help. Esr and CRP tests do not measure sle activity well. Post pleuritic pain can last several months, so don't despair. I might try you on a course of Cymbalta (duloxetine) until your pain improves!
