What is my chance for getting toxoplasmosis from kittens?

In brief: Possible

Kittens may become infected from eating raw meat, catching rodents, etc.
It is less likely than getting it from a mature animal, but possible.

The good news is that Toxoplasmosis is still fairly uncommon in the US though it is very common in Europe. Just avoid kitten (and cat) feces and you should be fine.

Unfortunately toxoplasmosis can also be acquired by eating undercooked meat. In fact the largest documented series of cases was among a group of Cornell U. med students after a party in which rare hamburger was eaten. In Europe it is also common to eat steak tartare (delicious, but not common in U.S,)
