In brief: Myofascial pain

With clenching or bruxism one usually thinks of the massaters as the muscles most involved.
This will create pain in the jaw area. Another muscle that also is invoved with clenching is the temporalis. It will cause referred pain in the side of the head and over the eye. This type of referred pain is known as myofascial pain.

In brief: Absolutely

Bruxism or grinding your teeth will cause many harm which can be prevented by wearing a well fitted night guard made by your dentist specific for your mouth not one of those over the counter ones that actually cause more harm than good.
