ZyrtecD+Nyquil Cough: I would recommend that you NOT take these medications together at the same time because doing so will be like taking 5 drugs at the same time. Not appropriate use: Zanaflex (tizanidine) is a muscle relaxer (http://www.drugs.com/zanaflex.html) so it's not intended for use in treating sinus headaches. Moreover, use of Zanaflex (tizanidine) w/ZyrtecD (antihistamine w/decongestant) runs risk of drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, difficulty concentrating, and impairment in thinking and judgment. You didn't ask but definitely don't recommend concomitant alcohol. http://goo.gl/w30maz ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can i take Zanaflex (tizanidine) and zyrtec d together? Took zyrtrec for my allergies but would like to also take my muscle relaxer.
Better not: If taken together can cause CNS depression and psychomotor impairment, zanaflex (tizanidine) has a short half life 2.5 hours, so it can stay in your system for 5 hours or longer, zyrtec has a half life of 9 hours, so it can stay for about 18 hours, drop one untill you talk to your doctor about an alternative, spacing them out, or dose reduction, good that you asked, always exercise caution with multiple meds ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
