How long does zyprexa (olanzapine) stay in the body sysyem?

How long does zyprexa (olanzapine) stay in the body sysyem?

Seversl days: Well zyprexa (olanzapine) is metabolized by the liver, excreted by the kidneys in urine, 57%, and in feces 30%. The key point however is that it has a 1/2 life of 21-54 hrs. Meaning it takes that long to eleminate 1/2 the drug from your system, then that long to eleminate 1/2 of what's left and so on till it's all gone. Some people rapidly metabolize zpxa hence the difference in 1/2 life & excretion rate. Read more
