Zone Delivery Seattle
Wtloss home delivery: The positives about home delivery are portion control and ease of use.I imagine the companies that deal in home delivery would allow you to purchase a "sample" program to see if the food is to your taste after all, if the food is not to your liking-you will not becommitted to the program. I still advocate one"regular" type family meal per day. Please have your dr evaluate the nutritional content. ...Read more
Anterior placenta previa with placental lake seen at 28w ultrasound, 2 D&Cs & no c-section hx. Any risk of placenta accreta? Best time to deliver?
Placenta Previa: Placenta previa occurs when the placenta is covering the opening of the cervix. Vaginal delivery is possible in mild cases of previa. Placenta accreta is a different condition where the placenta gets "stuck" to the uterus. While the risk of accreta increases when you have previa, that risk is low if you have never had a c-section before. Follow-up with your obstetrician regarding delivery dates. ...Read more
Pros/cons of c-section vs. assisted vaginal delivery? Baby persistently locked in posterior position, estimated 8lbs+.
Depends: That is a decision that would need to be made in the moment. Many women can deliver vaginally with no problem from the occiput posterior position. If the baby can not be delivered with pushing then options of forceps, vacuum and c section should be considered. The size of the baby, the shape of the pelvis, the position of head and the experience of the doctor are all important considerations ...Read more

Regarding cancer rates. Looking at leukaemia in califnornia vs. Nv. In la county it is 11/100,000. Clark county it is 19/100,000. Is this a big deal?
Most likely not: Epidemiology (study of disease in a population) is tricky. Both rates quoted are very small so a doubling is very likely not a concern. Also, when comparing two areas and a very specific disease, you really should adjust for age, gender and ethnicity. Differences in a city's population can dramatically affect the incidence of certain diseases--many diseases occur only in men or women, kids, etc. ...Read more

Indolent, persistent: Marginal zone lymphoma is a form of lymphoma that is of low aggressiveness and "indolent." it refers to the cell of origin of the tumor having come from the "marginal zone" of the lymph node, as opposed to "germinal center cell" or "activated b-cell type" cells which are subtypes of the more aggressive "large cell" lymphoma family. UTZ report at uau19 wks 5 days shows fetus in transverse position, placenta posterior grade 2,previa totalis.will this improve? or cs is the option
Likely to improve: placenta previa diagnosed in second trimester most often resolves by 3rd trimester. Usually by that time, the fetus is head down and vaginal delivery is an option. Follow closely with ultrasounds this pregnancy to help guide your decision. Unlikely but if the placenta previa persists, then a csection is needed ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

U/s @23 weeks placenta 3.8cm from os-trans abdominal full bladder. At 28w different clinic transvaginal -3.4cm from os. Who is right? It's posterior
Irrelevant: Transvaginal ultrasounds is the best modality for assessing a placenta that is near the os (previa). However because your placenta is more than three centimeters away from the os on both scans, I would not worry about this finding of a difference as it does not matter. Make sure you don't have any bleeding though. Hope that helps and good luck. ...Read more
