HopefullyFindACause: First, double the dose of Zofran (ondansetron). And if you can, chew it up and let it dissolve and get absorbed through your mouth. If that doesn't work you might consider seeing a doctor to make sure nothing serious is going on, especially if you have fever or a headache. Other than Dramamine, other effective medications for nausea require a prescription unless you want to try herbs or homeopathic medications. ...Read more

Bipolar Disorder: I feel empathy for you. Per your information, you are taking Clonazepam, Lisinopril, Bronchodilater and had electric shock therapy. Taking Lithium in divided dose-2-3 times/day with meal can avoid nausea. Zofran can have many side effects. Benadryl, Dramamine and Phenergan (promethazine) can be helpful. Had persistent nausea. Had gallbladder out. 1 week post-op, still loss off appetite and nausea. Zofran (ondansetron) doesn't always help.

Watchful waiting: Maybe the nausea was never related to the gallbladder or it is related to the operation itself. For now, just need to wait. If it persists for another 3-6 months, see a GI doctor for a consult. Could be sphincter of oddi dysfunction, gastroparesis, or even gerd. Hope it gets better! ...Read more
