Zincovit Drops For Infants
Should I be giving my 4 mo old infant multivitamin drops or is formula and purees meeting her vitamin requirements?
Infant vitamins.: Only small amounts of vitamin d are transferred in breast milk. That's why the american academy of pediatrics (aap) now recommends that you give your breastfed baby a supplement of 400 iu per day of vitamin d, starting in the first few days of life. Babies who are fully or partially formula fed but drink less than 32 ounces of formula a day also need a daily 400 iu vitamin d supplement ...Read more

Colic: Colic usually begins around three weeks of age andlasts until three months of age it can occur atleast three times a week and lasts for three hours or more. Cause is unknown, although some feel it is a form of migraine. All kindsof treatment have been recommended. I find that swaddling works well because it soothing and comfortable for the baby. How much concentrated iburpofren infant's drops should I give my 8 lb baby. Of 2 weeks and 6 days?
?? Why??: This med is never given to infants that young. It can injure the kidneys. Beyond that, why are you giving a baby that young pain medication? If it has fever >100.4 it needs to go to the ER immediately. If you assume there is pain, consult with your pediatrician before giving anything, s/he may want you to bring baby in for an evaluation. Put those drops away until at least 6 months. ...Read more

Cough syrup, Nosal drop and steam are not affecting much for my 1 month infant, can I give him nebulizer with saline water.
? irritants?: The first months are troubled by narrow nasal passages exposure to dust, fragrances, smoke & other irritants. This often ends as congestion & produces rattling with breathing. The best rx is washing out the nose with saline & SUCTIONING the remainder. Eliminate irritants from babies environment & this will happen less. Cough syrups make them worse. Nasal drops without suction are a waste of time. ...Read more
If my immunity drops before and during menses, does that mean the immunity I pass to my infant through breastmilk will be weaker?
My 2 day old infant is having cold, due to which her nose is choked. We're using a saline nasal drop as needed. Kindly provide your input on this.?
Nasal congestion: At 2do the primary cause of congestion are irritants. House dust, fragrance, perfumes, detergent or cleaning products all leave scents that don't bother adults but irritate a babies nose. A good nasal clean out with saline can remove much of this irritant load, but removing the offending irritants from babies life helps more in the long run. ...Read more
They don't work.: Babies swallow air when crying & bottle-feeding. Till ~ 6 weeks, their intestinal smooth muscle does not coordinate propulsion of liquid & air. Use the "football hold". Put baby on your forearm, head at your elbow, face down. Press your palm against his tummy, flex his hips, encircle one leg with your fingers & roll him gently against your chest. Tilt head up to burp, tush up to pass gas. ...Read more

Good day! My son has a fever since lastnight, always 38 degrees celsius never go down eventhough im giving him paracetamol tempra (acetaminophen) infant drops, his 6 mo?
Natural response: 38 degrees celsius is not a particularly high fever, though it might be significantly higher if you were not giving him paracetamol. Paracetamol reduces fever but does not eliminate it. Fever is the body's natural response to infection and helps the immune system fight an infection. Thus, suppressing a fever can interfere with this response and prolong an infection. Please see my comment for more:. ...Read more
Is tobastar eye drops a steroid.. ....could I use it for an infant eyes one and half month baby...

When it is recommended to give calcium to infant? I have eight months child I give him only vitamin d drops. ..He got one teeth only and didn't crawl?
Possibly: Otrivin (xylometazoline) is a decongestant that will shrink clogged nasal passages. If there is no cold or facial congestion, it will not have much effect. Swallowing helps open the passageways and clear the ears, so a good way to help your infant avoid ear pain is to make sure he's hungry by the time the airplane descends, and continuously feed from a bottle during descent. ...Read more

By the date of this post about 4 days has gone by, so hopefully you have made contact with the doctor and your baby is better by now. For the future, and for others reading this post, if your baby seems very irritable and uncomfortable, and your instinct tells you that something is wrong you should contact your doctor. A phone call to the doctor's office after hours will put you through to a nurse or on call doctor. They will ask you a series of questions and advise you on the next best course of action (er visit or next day doctor's appointment).
Take good care. ...Read more

Anemia: You likely had low iron levels before pregnancy because of extra blood in your menses. During pregnancy your menses cease and iron has time to store up in your body.
