Yes,but neither best: Zinc can be difficult to absorb. Zinc oxide is poorly absorbed and is probably best for topical use (as a sunscreen). Zinc gluconate is better absorbed and is commonly used in lozenges for treating colds. However, research shows that zinc picolinate is much better absorbed than zinc gluconate. I can't recommend it: Taking extra zinc can render you copper deficient, and you don't want to take it except for a really good reason. Your best over-the-counter remedy for acne is benzoyl peroxide. Stop taking zinc: I'm not sure why you're taking a zinc supplement, maybe to prevent colds, and if so, it won't help until you get a cold. Regardless of why you are taking it, if it's causing your hair to become thin, then i suggest decreasing or better yet stopping the zinc supplement.
