Zyflo (zileuton) is so expensive, but effective, for me. Is there a more affordable alternative?

Zyflo (zileuton) is so expensive, but effective, for me. Is there a more affordable alternative?

Yes, maybe . . .: Zyflo & zyflo cr are brands of zileuton, which is a leukotriene inhibitor. Montelukast & zafirlukast are also leukotriene inhibitors that are available as generic. Ask your prescribing physician if one of these might serve as a less expensive alternative. I've also compiled a page of low cost, even free, medical care & pharmaceutical options at http://bit.Ly/nunxzc (my website). ...Read more

Why does it seem singular is well known & used by many versus Zyflo (zileuton). Is Zyflo (zileuton) safe? Singular just doesn't help enough. I was told to look into Zyfl

Please help! what happens when someone has a drug overdose?

Please help! what happens when someone has a drug overdose?

That depends on: How serious it is and what drugs or medications were taken. Overdoses are often treated initially in an emergency room. The person is monitored and often they have intravenous fluids. If they stopped breathing - a tube can be inserted to assist with breathing. Sometimes they are given charcoal to absorb the drugs and sometimes their stomach is "pumped". They may need to be given medications. ...Read more

Is zyflo (zileuton) safe? I've read about liver issues with this drug.

Blood monitoring key: Once started liver function tests should be checked monthly for 3 months, then once every three months For one year. Then periodically after that. Am I dying?

Am I dying?

We all are: A 3-word question with no details... well, life is short on Earth, regardless of whether a person lives 3 days, 3000 days, or 30,000 days. It is not length of one's life that matters, but the quality of the life lived. The goal is not to live a long life, but to live a good life. Even if a person makes it all the way to age 82, that's only 30,000 days. ...Read more
