Reflux: The meds usually don't have much of an effect on the quantity of spit up. They help with the irritability of the reflux to prevent acid from causing the pain. It's all weight dependent so without a weight can't say if the Zantac is the correct dosage or not. See her doctor.: Depending on the company making the gripe water you use, it could have ingredients that aren't safe; gripe water is not regulated by the fda. Probably not bad: There is a reasonable chance it won't do anything to help your heartburn, but otherwise probably not going to do any harm to take an over the counter (otc) past its expiration date. That being said, try not do that again! throw out the package to prevent some mistakes.
