Z Pack Dose
I have stomach pain, difficulty breathing and vomiting/ can't hold anything down. My z pack dose ended yesterday. How long will these symptoms last?
Z-PAK DURATION: One of the big advantages of azithromycin (Zithromax) is that after taking it for 5 days, 5 additional days worth of drug gets stored inside your body's cells and gets released into your bloodstream over the next 5 days so you get 10 days of drug by only taking it for 5 days. The disadvantage of this is the situation you find yourself in.Ask your doctor for some Zofran or Compazine (prochlorperazine). This should help ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Have tested positive for mycoplasma for 4 consecutive weeks; after 3 DIFFERENT rounds of antibiotics (dyoxicycline, dbl dose z-pack, and 14 days of levequin)
I'm still running low grade fevers almost daily, severe fatigue, terrible headaches. ?

M. genitalim can be more serious, but doesn't cause fever, fatigue, headache, etc. Probably no mycoplasma has anything to do with your symptoms, which is why the antibiotics haven't helped. Consider an infectious disease specialist. ...Read more
I started z-pack at about 1:00 on Saturday. Do I need to wait until 1:00on Sundayto take the next dose?
Don't have to: You didn't mention AM or PM. If you took it at 1 AM, then take the next one before you go to bed. It is best to stick to every 24 hr dosing schedule, but if there is a few hours of discrepancy then it is OK. However, there are certain medications that interact with Azithromycin (Z-pack) that needs more precise timing. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I was diagnosed with strep yesterday & taken 3 doses of the z pack of antibiotic. fever still keeps coming back every 6-7 hours since Sunday night. ?
Strep Throat: Pharyngitis is not adequately treated with a simple "Z-Pak". Assuming you are allergic to Penicillin - and can not take the usual preparations of Penicillin or Amoxicillin, preferably Augmentin, (amoxicillin and clavulanate) would normally recommend a "double- dose Z-pak" ie- 500 mg daily for 5 days, Check back soon with your regular provider for reassessment. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
