I started z-pack at about 1:00 on Saturday. Do I need to wait until 1:00on Sundayto take the next dose?

Don't have to: You didn't mention AM or PM. If you took it at 1 AM, then take the next one before you go to bed. It is best to stick to every 24 hr dosing schedule, but if there is a few hours of discrepancy then it is OK. However, there are certain medications that interact with Azithromycin (Z-pack) that needs more precise timing. ...Read more

Assuming you are allergic to Penicillin - and can not take the usual preparations of Penicillin or Amoxicillin, preferably Augmentin, (amoxicillin and clavulanate) would normally recommend a "double- dose Z-pak" ie- 500 mg daily for 5 days, Check back soon with your regular provider for reassessment. ...Read more

It may be part of your disease process, I.e you may have GI symptoms associated with your infection that you were treating with the medication in question. Or you may be getting the most common side effect associated with Azithromycin (Z pak) after being fortunate before.
