Reason?: Is there a particular reason to want to lower your heart rate? 60 bpm in athlete is perfectly fine and normal. There is no physiological reason( that I am aware of) why you would want it lower than that. Too low of a heart rate is not good either since it would not allow adequate blood flow to your body. Regularly is best: Dancing and yoga are both very good exercise. Start with smaller amounts that don't wipe you out and can be repeated regularly, then increase each exercise in small increments.
