Yellow White Poop In Toddler
Eight month old. Constipation, fussy, little bit of yellow in eyes and now yellow seedy runny stool?

Fussiness and constipation are not unusual either. Recommend you have your baby evaluated by his/her pediatrician, especially since you are noticing a yellow color to the eyes. ...Read more

My 3 month old sons poop has turned dark brown with white chunks in it. He is formula fed enfamil with baby oatmeal in it. His stools have increased?
Brown is OK!: Baby poop is lots of different colors and can change from day to day for any baby. One day brown, one day yellow, one green. The worrisome colors are dark black after the first few days of life (cuz your first poop is blackish meconium), red poop or pure white poop. I suppose purple would be weird too! as his digestive tract matures, consistency will also vary. And yes, baby poop stinks! ...Read more

My stools come out in very dark greenish black pebbles. What does this mean? I've had different color, texture, and floating and non float stools
Possibly melena?: Dark-colored stools may result from iron supplements, foods you eat (like a lot of spinach), substances (like peptobismol), but most significantly suggests bleeding. When blood is denatured by acid in your stomach, as from ulcers, stools will turn tarry ("melena"). Blood may also be ingested from nose bleeds, bleeding gums... Persistent melena (without obvious cause) ; symptoms warrants md visit. ...Read more

My 6 week old son has had 3 diapers of grey stool.Soft, clay like, starts out grey and then it turn into the normal seedy yellow stool. Is this normal?
Short answer, yes: His GI tract is still getting used to digestion. As long as the stool normalized as you say, i don't think there is a problem. Similar things happened with our 3 kids, all resolved by next bowel movement, was transient, and not associated with any other symptoms like pain, crying, vomiting, feeding difficulty, etc. If this is the case, no worries. If any other symptoms occur, see pediatrician. ...Read more
White stuff in baby poop....poop is in yellow color and there is some white stuff present in it ...she is 4 months old and is breast feeded.
Hard to says: A 4 months old stool can be green, yellow and seedy. Not too sure what the white stuff is unless seen in real life. I would suggest a visit with your doctor to confirm these findings. Provided the baby is just breast fed, and no other symptoms are present this can be followed up with your doctor at the next appointment. ...Read more
Can be: The main agent adding color to the poo is the material made by the liver called bile. It starts out a dark green and goes thru the yellows to brown depending on the influences of various factors in the intestines. Rapid transit thru the system, as may occur with diarrhea or breast feeding may have a greenish yellow or yellow appearance. The slower, more likely browner. ...Read more
NOT REALLY: Too much milk intake is not recommended after 1 year of age. They need more solid food. Give the toddler mixed balanced food. From 1 to 2 year, vitamin-d milk, then 2%, 8 ounces 2-3 times daily is enough. Bring the stool issue to the attention of toddler's pediatrician, bring some stool during next visit so that the doctor gets a look and comment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My 2 year old child has yellow pasty poop. What is the cause for this? He had a stomach virus recently, but he had this several weeks ago as well for about 2-3 days. It went away. And it just came back again.
Good : Good news! the only stool colors we get really concerned about are red (blood from colon), black (blood from small intestine or stomach), or white (liver is not working well). Colors such as brown, yellow, orange, green, blue, or even purple (beets) can all be normal and usually associated with diet. If he has a persistent change in his stool habits, you should contact his physician since this could be a sign of an underlying disorder, but a one-time strange stool that is not red, black or white is usually of no concern. If he is having continued diarrhea, or a change in color unrelated to diet, give his doctor a call. They may want to check his stool for bacterial, viruses, parasites, and other things to give clues as to why he is having this ongoing problem. Good luck! ...Read more
