Poison ivy?: Itchy rash with blisters, on back of hands and wrist could be from a few conditions. I would think about poison ivy first, and the hand and wrist could be the area of contact. Eczema is common in children and can occur on trunk and extremities. Topical moisture with heavier, cream-type moisturizers is best for eczema. Dry skin eczema: Nummular (coin shaped) eczema is extremely common on the lower legs. Dry skin starts the condition, and scratching (excoriation) worsens the itch and rash. Usually, a topical steroid is required, often a strong prescription steroid. If your condition worsens with steroids, ringworm (tinea corporis) must be ruled out. Probably not.: The purple veins are most likely a condition called livido reticularis. This Is a benign condition seen more during the winter (cold) The red dots combined with the livido suggest a vasculitic ( inflammation of the small vessel) this can be seen in viral infections ( self limited) or connective tissue diseases such as cryoglobulonemia or antiphospholipid syndrome.
