Yellow Stool Alcohol
Have urge to poop every 10mins. My period should start next week & Noticed slight blood with yellow gooey stool. Alcohol or spicy foods do this?
Not normal, get help: Blood in stool is a warning sign. Brisk bleeding warrants emergency care. Causes of bleeding may be predictable (e.g. rectal trauma), but evaluation is always appropriate. A rule of thumb (but not absolute): black stool means bleeding comes from upper GI tract; grape jelly stool from small bowel; silver stool from biliary tree; burgundy stool from right colon; red blood from left colon to anus.
Pancreas concerns, luq pain front to back unchanged for 1.5 yr now, worse with alcohol, labs, chest xray, u/s normal. Yellow stool when drinking alcohol along with pain. No history of acute panc. Thoughts?
At least once a week really bad belly cramps and loose yellow stool, I drink a lot of beer so not sure if it's related to the alcohol or food scared?
See answer: Alcohol can cause your symptoms so it may be a wakeup call. Without knowing more of your history, it is hard to tell if you may have bile acid diarrhea or irritable bowel among other causes. See a GI doctor to evaluate this further especially if it doesn't get better after cutting back/stopping alcohol.
Luq pain, yellow soft stools, liver labs normal, low lipase, oral&iv contrast CT negative. 35/f, no alcohol, former smoker. Is this pancreas cancer?
Where are U using it: Please clarify if you are using it for housecleaning purposes, or taking it internally into your gut as an ingestant or enema? Pardon the concern, but just being sure before we advise you incorrectly.
Could alcohol and a bunch of junk food (excessive oreos, and other junk food) cause dark stools the next day? Normal consistency, just very dark?
Yes: You've left me wondering whether the food coloring in oreos can make the stools dark, but a little bleeding into the stomach from alcohol can do this, just as if you had taken bismuth for upset stomach or had popped a few iron pills. If this persists more than a few days, a physician's office visit is in order.See 1 more doctor answer
Had yellow diarrhoea from alcohol 3 days ago, now just feel like I constantly need a no. 2. It's horrible/uncomfortable. Can't sleep :- (help?
My stools are loose, light tan/yellowish and smell like alcohol and I haven't consumed alcohol recently. What could cause this and do I need to worry?
How Dry You Were: Well, my boy, you've just turned into your own personal distillery! Really. That's what goes on in those intestines (amongst other things): fermentation of the foods ingested. You may be on to something: eat a bunch of malted barley and hops and see what comes out. Or, of course, you may have a minor upset in there that will clear if you change your diet. If it gets worse, see your doctor.
Can you drink alcohol when your kidney use to be yellow when you was a baby and now your kidney is better and not yellow?
Alcohol affects the: Liver more than the kidneys. See your dr for a comprehensive evaluation including liver and kidney function before you indulge in your passion. Take care!
Alcohol and blood: Alcohol is actually classified as a poison. It is a toxic substance so therefore large quantities of it can be very much a gastric irritant. That is it can cause bleeding. Otherwise there are many causes for blood in one's stool. Ones should never presume it's one thing or another.
I have gilbert's, eyes more yellow than usual in spite of improved diet & less alcohol. Effecting social life. How to decrease bilirubin?
No proven treatment: No specific therapy is required for patients diagnosed with gilbert's syndrome. The most important thing is to recognize that this condition is inconsequential. If bili levels are higher than expected, can look for co-existing condition (eg hemolysis, other mutation).See 1 more doctor answer
I've had what looks like black stool for at least a month if not more. Have not changed anything drastically in regards to diet and alcohol.
? blood: I'm sure you are worried that this could represent intestinal bleeding. Black stools could be due to gastrointestinal bleeding but the stools are often sticky and foul-smelling if the color is due to blood. If you have been bleeding for at least a month I would expect you would have other symptoms as well such as weakness or dizziness. It's best to get it checked out though.
4 wks ago I started logging food to lose weight (mostly limiting sugar/alcohol). Stools have become loose, small and frequent (3x/day). Is that bad?
Probably not: The kind of dietary changes you have made could be expected to result in changes in your bowel movements. More frequent, smaller stools would be common. As part of your healthier eating, be sure to include raw fruits and vegetables, increasing fiber/bulk, resulting in firmer stool. Eating like this may result in multiple stools daily which is normal. Good luck!
Alcohol malabsorptio: Diarrhea, weight loss and osteoporosis are prominent symptoms and clinical signs of alcoholism. One of several possible factors causing this clinical picture is small intestinal damage leading to malabsorption alcohol inhibits the breakdown of nutrients into usable molecules by decreasing secretion of digestive enzymes from the pancreas (2). Alcohol impairs nutrient absorption by damaging the cell.
If it is associated: With gastrointestinal bleeding. If you have black, tarry, malodorous stool - please have this medical evaluated promptly.
