I have a painful greenish/yellow spot in the back of my mouth. What is it? I thought I had bitten my cheek a week ago, but since then the pain has only gotten worse. My wisdom teeth are completely grown in and have been for over a year now. I had a frien

This: This could be coming from your maxillary (upper) wisdom teeth erupting towards your cheek. If this is the case, every time you open your mouth you would be pinching your cheek between that tooth and your jawbone. Watch for any change: Ulcers in the mouth are quite common. Most of them are painful and are related to virus infections (often called canker sores). They heal themselves in 7-10 days. So keep an eye on it to see the changes over the next 2-4 weeks. If it grows in size or does not heal, it needs to be biopsied by a oral surgeon (ENT or Dental surgeon) to be examined micrcroscopically to rule out early cancer. ...Read more
