Eye irritation: sounds like you are developing what we call conjunctivits (inflammation of the mucous membrane of the eye). Most common cause is cold and upper respiratory virus. Usually lasts 7-10 days, Almost always goes into other eye as well. Keep hands away from eyes. Good hand washing important as this can spread easily. Cool compresses to eyes can help. Sounds like you are : going to need to see your eye doctor to get some prescription eye drops for your conjunctivitis as soon as possible to make sure you don't have 'pink eye'.
