Is there such a thing as having fungus, bacteria and yeast all at once in the bloodstream in someone who has low immune ?
Absolutely not: Someone w/ bacteria & fungus in bloodstream would be close to death in ICU. There are however some rogue medical practitioners who promote a scientifically unsound idea that various vague and non-life-threatening symptoms are due to chronic blood infection by yeast or viruses or exotic bacteria. This is pseudoscience &has resulted in patients getting seriously harmed by misguided treatment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Internal vaginal itch. the only bacteria i had was coli and was treated with cipro (ciprofloxacin) and the internal itch still persists. neg for yeast, trich, fungus?
Test again: Unfortunately, taking Cipro (ciprofloxacin) for an E. coli infection could trigger a yeast infection to happen next. It's not Candida: "Systemic candidiasis" causing such symptoms is an urban myth. There is no such thing. If "yeast" means you think you have a vaginal, skin, or oral yeast infection, get it checked out. But even though candida is the usual cause, it doesn't explain your other symptoms. See a doctor, such as your family physician or an internist, then take it from there. Good luck! ...Read more

Can fungus on my to nail cause yeast to multiple in my throat. I had a throat culture done and it showed that i had over growth of yeast. Please help?
No: The fungii that cause nail fungal infection (trichophyton and epidemophytum) are different than yeast infection of the throat (candidia). However if you are prone to opportunistic infection (suppressed immune system, etc) you are more likely to get both but the spread of the nail to the throat is extremely unlikely. I hope you are seeing your pcp for these matters to monitor your overall health. ...Read more
