Yeast Infection In Toddler Girls Symptoms
Diaper rash: If you are talking about a yeast diaper rash, keep the area clean and dry. Change diapers frequently when needed. Apply a small amount of a anti-yeast cream such as Lotrimin AF/clotrimazole at each diaper change. The rash should improve within a few days. If it isn't better, or it's getting worse, see your child's doctor.
Infections are invasions of some other organism (fungus, bacteria, parasite) or viruses into places where they do not belong. For instance, we have normal gut bacteria that live within us without causing problems; however, when those penetrate the bowel wall and enter the bloodstream, ...Read more
My toddler girl has a terrible yeast infection in her diaper area for over 8 weeks now- diflucan, (fluconazole) probiotics, nystatin, nothing seems to work - help!
Diaper treatment: Wash affected area with soap and water. Use a hair drier to make sure she is meticulously dry. Leave her bottom open to the air. Use a goose neck lamp over affected area with a 40 watt bulb for 10-15 minutes per hour. The rash should clear up in a couple of days.
I had sex with a women that had a yeast infection and I started feeling odd things after. What are the symptoms?
I have a question about yeast infection, took a one day treatment, six days later and symptoms are still present?
How long can a yeast infection last after taking diflucan (fluconazole)? Anything else I can do about huge symptoms?
Varies: Diflucan (fluconazole) works about 98% of the time when taken in three doses (one a day, every other day, for three doses). It can take 2 to 5 days for the symptoms to clear up. If the symptoms persist, see your doctor. If the symptoms reoccur (happens about 10% of the time) re-treatment and suppression may be required.
I took 2 fluconazole pills for my yeast infection 10 days ago, but I still have some symptoms. Is this typical/normal?
Re-examination?: If the yeast was confirmed by an MD and treated with fluconazole, has it been re-examined to confirm that the infection is gone or still present? If not, that is your fires step is to go for re-examination as medications don't always work, especially if the wrong infection type is mistreated.

I've had a yeast infection, but no access to treatment, for 3 weeks. But now the symptoms are disappearing. Is it going away on its own?
Probably: Many people get various infections which healed on their own with the help of your strong immune system prior to the development of all the current medications we have. If caught early, keeping the area dry (yeast loves moisture) and avoiding sugary foods will help you naturally reach balance again.
I had a yeast infection, took OTC treatment & symptoms went away. I used a 'soft cup' days after and there was cottage chz like substance, is yi gone?
Yeast vaginitis: The presence of a cottage cheese like material in your vagina suggests there may still be a yeast infection, especially if you did not continue the original treatment for at least a week. A second round of treatment may make sense, or see your doctor for an evaluation.
I had unprotected sex with a new partner. Couple days later had symptoms of a yeast infection but now I'm worried that it may be something else. Help!
Yeast? STD? Herpes?: You don't say exactly what symptoms you have. Maybe it's just what it feels like, a yeast infection. (It's not an STD, but symptoms may be triggered by having sex.) Herpes is the main STD cause of vulvar or labial irritation or itching. Gonorrhea or chlamydia less likely but possible. Don't screw around with this: see a doctor or clinic ASAP. Good luck!
Is it safe to use a different over-the-counter yeast infection medicine right after the first one I completed but didn't really clear all my symptoms?
Could try it: Sometimes 2 courses of treatment are needed to clear an infection. If this is not effective, see your gynecologist for diagnosis and treatment. Be aware that a partner may reinfect you.
Herpes like Symptoms tested nd was negative partner tested negative but had yeast infection (male) what did I have? Can yeast infections show as cuts?
Hi, So I have never had a yeast infection before but after accidentally using the wrong razor on Tuesday I have been having all the symptoms (itching,?
Quit shaving: Shaving your private parts is unhygienic, the current customs notwithstanding. Wash the area with soap daily and keep it dry. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex. Get HPV vaccine.

Re-evaluation: You should see your physician for re-evaluation. A different medication may be needed.
What are the symptoms of a yeast infection spreading all over your body? I have chronic yeast infections as well as tena vascular. I cant spell it. Anyways help..
Doesn't happen: Genital area yeast infections never "spread all over the body". It will remain localized to your genital area. I think you're the same person who asked about this before. I still urge you to work with your doctor. If the diagnosis is correct, all yeast infections, no matter how chronic, can be cleared with treatment.See 3 more doctor answers
I went to planned parenthood because my discharge was irregular and was diagnosed with a yeast infection. I was given the oral medication but my symptoms came back after a week, which I honestly expected because I had had the problem for a couple weeks be
Other infection?: I'm concerned you may not have had a yeast infection; or you had yeast plus something else. The main symptoms of vaginal yeast are itching and irritation, with scant discharge, often none at all. Presumably you were tested for STDs? And also checked for bacterial vaginosis? Whether or not these were done, you should return to the clinic for further evaluation. Good luck!
Absolutely.: Yeast are biological organisms that can spread fairly easily. A good example is thrush--a yeast infection of the mouth that frequently causes a diaper rash. Depending on where your yeast infection is located, whether you share the same towel or bathe together can all influence this possibility. Also, younger children taking antibiotics--especially cephalosporins--can be predisposed to yeast.
OTC products or Rx: Yeast infection can cause vaginal itching; bacterial infection can cause vaginal discharge and odor. There are many otc products you may try first (terazol, monostat, vagisil). If those don't work, then you may need to see your fp and take a dose of oral diflucan (fluconazole). The most common reason for yeast infection is oral antibiotics and bowel seeding; the oral med treats both bowel & vaginal yeast.See 1 more doctor answer
