Why are you starting birth control pills? how long do you plan to be on the antibiotics? How old are you? I'm assuming you are female but you didn't even provide us with that information. Not my 1st choice: I do not like that pill, and it has 30mcg of estrogen and it is 21 days. There are many pills that have less estrogen which is better- less chance for estrogen related side effects. My number one pill i prescribe is loloestin, it only has 10 mcg estrogen which is safer and it has 24 active pills and then 2 estrogen pills so only 2 placebo pills , so you get lighter periods and less chance of a cys. ...Read more
May reduce effect : The effectiveness of Beyaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol and levomefolate) may be decreased by solodyn oral in some patients thus resulting in breakthrough bleeding/pregnancy may occur. In this patients it is advisable to use extra or an alternate form of birth control. Report any irregular bleeding to your doctor. NO: Ocella (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) is a birth control pill which helps acne. Vitex is of no value ; is sold with false claims to take advantage of people: it will do nothing for acne ; it will not prevent pregnancy. The usual dose of spironolactone for acne is 50- 100 mg, sometimes 200mg. You will see improvement after 3 menst periods. Hair loss might improve with larger dose of spironolactone. Not the best use: Of an oral contraceptive. Many women do notice that their acne improved on oral hormones. I have seen more women using Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) for that which has had some unpleasant side effects surface. Speak with your physician or ob/gyn about this.
