TMJ: If you have a poor bite where you over close - meaning you should have had braces when you were growing- or constantly clenching the joint where your jaw is "hinged" to the skull is right in front of your ear and will create pressure and you get relief by opening as much as you can to "pop" the disc to relieve the pressure you need to see dentist for TMJ and possibly an orthodontists. ...Read more

Wax Impaction: You probably moistened a near complete wax impaction and made the blockage complete. This may require an ENT doctor to fix but you can try dissolving the wax. Debrox and Cerumenex are good at this. I suggest repeat usage several times a day until the wax dissolves. If it doesn't after a day or two time to see the doctor. Afrin (oxymetazoline): Try afrin (oxymetazoline) or try performing a valsalva maneuver - pinch your nose and gently "blow" air out of your nose while at the same time bearing down like you are lifting something. This will force air up your eustachian tube and expand the middle ear and prevent traction on the ear drum which is what causes the pain and fullness during descent. ...Read more
