Yamo Baby Carrier
Yes: Infants need human contact and stimulation to develop and stimulate their brains optimally. Stimulation includes touching, such as holding, kissing, cuddling, tickling. This isn't happening alone in an infant carrier. Infant carriers should be used for what it says - to carry the infant from point A to point B and that's it. They are not a babysitter.....
Have u heard about ergo baby carriers with infant insert? How safe is that to use for new born to go outside for a wallk?
Appears safe: Ergobaby carriers look good. For newborns i prefer a sling. Anything that supports baby's head and keeps it from flopping around will be ok. Use common sense....These carriers look better to me for slightly older infants.
My 4 month old baby gets histerical once I put his infant carrier in the car. He won't stop crying turning blue and shaking. What should I do ?
Keep him safe in car: At four months he is too young for a real temper tantrum. While he may get agitated by the car seat's restrictive environment, his safety in the car is paramount for him to be transported in any other way in the car. You may want to have someone else sit beside him not to make him so lonely.See 1 more doctor answer
My mom is a hep b carrier and i got the extra shots required for babies with hep b carrier mums. What are the chances of me still having hep b?
Hi doctors, i want to have babies in the future can I get pregnant and have some kids if I am HBV carrier?
3 yr old in my sons pre school has mumps. Could the teacher (who kisses kids) be a silent carrier of mumps? She is supposed to babysit my son&infant.
Unlikely: There is no silent carrier for mumps. There are asymptomatic infections, but even asymptomatic, they develop mumps immunity. I would ask the teacher if she had documentation of 2 MMR vaccines. If she had, it is highly liekly that she is immune to mumps and therefore she cannot infect other persons. Parotid gland swelling occurs with other virus infections, so make sure that it was mumps.
Is it ok for me to carry my baby in an infant carrier facing forward? I'm talking about on my body, not referring to car seat.
Yes: No problem. The risks of carrying a baby would be the same facing forward or backwards.
Interesting question: If your only reason for asking is just because you want your kid to be tall, then skip past what i say because it won't help you. If you're asking about food making an infant taller because you're interested in making the infant healthier, follow this link to livestrong: http://www.Livestrong.Com/article/69870-kids-grow-taller/.
?your kidding right?: The physique of a healthy baby is a bit different from a healthy toddler /kid/adult.They have lax muscles that allow a full saggy belly & seem a bit pudgy with soft rolls. That said, there are also fat babies & they are not healthy. You grow new fat cells in infancy/puberty and pregnancy & an overfed fat baby is likely to face a lifetime of avoidable health problems. Your dr can define the limits.See 1 more doctor answer
Unfortunately NO: Breastmilk is nature's perfect food for babies; formula is not nearly as good. Breastfed babies have better immune function (less infections), less chance of dying in their first year, lower risk of allergies, Type 1 diabetes and obesity and better cognitive development. Moms who breast feed lose more weight, have less depression & breast cancer! PLEASE BREASTFEED! See http://tinyurl.com/o85tl7jSee 1 more doctor answer
Don't know: Interesting question. Why does this interest you? It would be impossible to know as it requires reporting of every incident and that just doesn't happen. And there are many reasons that children are not born...Genetic anomalies, poor placenta, problems with mom, blighted ovums, etc. It has happened for eons and will continue to happen . Nature still affects us.
Anytime you want: There is nothing inherently dangerous about getting hair cut. The person doing the cutting should be extremely careful with the scissors however, as babies are notorious for not sitting still when told to. Best to get some help.See 1 more doctor answer
Dis(lack of) ability: Whether it is rolling over, walking, smiling in response to a human face & vocalization, much of these skills have been studied in large populations & a range of time within which they emerge is considered the norm. When these fail to emerge on time, suspicion of a motor , speech or other problem may be suspected. Some skills ore more predictive of physical or mental abilities than others.
By 4 months, or : when their feet can touch the floor. Swings & walkers ABduct the hips, an abnormal position for learning to creep, crawl, cruise & walk. Start "floor time " play with baby in prone position as early as possible, ditch the swing at 2-3 months & don't waste money on a walker.See 1 more doctor answer
