M57, is there any role of xylometazoline nasal solution in combating persistent flu/cold which has caused sinusitis as well. ?
This medicine is: Only good when taken for short duration ( three days ) if you take it more than that you will experience rebound congestion which is more pronounced than the original . My suggestion is avoid use of zylomethazoline or afrin . There are safer medicine you can try including saline nasal spray , lortadine , steroid nasal spray . If symptom persists , see your doc. I have inflamed turbinates and was given a 10 day course of steroid spray plus xylometazoline spray (0.05%) with irrigation. Twice daily. Is that ok?
