Hi I had hit the side of my rib really hard last week and now it's swollen and hurts when I touch it should i get and x ray?

Hard to say; investi: It's hard to say from the short introduction what the problem could be. If the symptom (pain) is disabling or keeps you from doing usual activities, you could use further investigation. Rib sprain/bruise (from trauma), liver problems, and other problems can arise. Did you get an X-ray for the ribs (not just chest)? Consider HealthTap Prime if you don't have a doctor to talk to. Good luck, and thanks for asking HT. ...Read more
