Wear and tear: "Degenerative changes" means that the shoulder joint shows evidence of what you might call "wear and tear." Could be due to arthritis (osteoarthritis), overuse, prior injury, etc. It also means there is no quick fix for the shoulder pain. Physical therapy, exercises as tolerated, and possibly anti-inflammatory medications could be helpful. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I fell a week ago and i hurt my shoulders. My right shoulder has been hurting and medicine is not helping. X-ray shows not broken. ?
Started working out with barbell shoulder exercises. Now I have right shoulder & collarbone discomfort. X-ray was normal. Is MRI warranted?
MRI will not : Solve your discomfort on your shoulder and collarbone. You may just have strained or pulled a muscle when you started exercising. Physical therapy , warm compresses and anti-inflammatory medications may help. Take it easy with your exercise. See your doctor if symptoms are getting worst ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Cerv Radiculopathy: Pain here is likely a pinched nerve from arthritic pressure and/or a herniated disc, or tendinitis (levator syndrome). Aggravated by poor posture at a computer. An exam by your doc can help determine if there is significant injury deserving of further studies or treatment. No hurry if not worsening, but, should be seen if not getting better. Had MRI and xray arthogram done on right shoulder. Results noted: Incidentally noted high attachment of the anterior inferior glenohumeral ligament.
Should be OK: "Incidental" implies that it was stumbled upon, but not likely to be a problem. This description is not a common finding on MRIs, and I'm honestly not sure of the clinical significance. This ligament provides stability to the shoulder joint and keeps the humeral head/ball from slipping forward out of the socket/glenoid. The ordering physician, if an orthopedic specialist, should help you interpret ...Read more
Dull ache /throb below right shoulder blade. Feels deeper than muscle. Not constant, but frequent. Duration: 6 mo Xray @ 2 mo didn't show anything.
Referred neck pain: If the lateral x-ray of the scapula is ok, unusual tension and poor posture aggravate a mild neck arthritis. Try exercise at EHR around 125 if ur doc OKs it. The dopamine and endorphins will help relieve the tension. Rarely, if it is related to respiration it could be a sticky lung lining., More rarely a rib facet may need manipulation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
