It can be Either: The pain in wrist radiating to hands can be due to tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome wrist and hands have more tendons than any other part of the body, it can cause pain, swelling and painfull movements at wrist carpal tunnel can cuasr pain in wrist and hand and numbness and tingling in first three fingers and pain will spread to hand and wrist. ...Read more

Possible: Tendinitis is a possibility. Overuse is another option. If no history of trauma or a visible bump (ganglion cyst), then the two options described are most likely ones. Recommend avoid offending activities. Using a wrist splint may help rest the painful spot. Anti-inflammatory meds - ibuprofen/naproxe, topical rubs voltaren/flector patch may be tried. Icing should help as well. ...Read more
