If it's not causing much discomfort and you have full normal strength there is less need for concern as most sprains settle down in a week or two. If the numbness persist, you need to see your doctor for examination and imaging ...Read more

Someone I know shoots method up their wrist is bruised but they didn't shoot up in the wrist and its numb and the pain is going up their arm. What cou?

Someone I know shoots method up their wrist is bruised but they didn't shoot up in the wrist and its numb and the pain is going up their arm. What cou?

Vessel damage.: I will assume you mean "Meth" not "Method" being "shot up". When injecting a foreign chemical in one's body, there is a tendency for the body to react negatively. If one were to inject such chemicals directly into a vessel, it is quite possible to cause damage to that vessel (artery or vein). You can also get a blood clot forming in that vessel, which can lead to an impaired blood supply to limb. ...Read more

I had a big fall last week and my wrist is very bruised and I'm in a lot of pain I went to a&e yesterday and wasn't given an X-ray, should I have been given one? Ore even given a splint/cast to protect it?

It depends: It is not difficult to tell a broken bone in the wrist area. If you can move your wrist (lower arm) freely and bend it around, then it is unlikely to be broken. Yet if the pain is not getting better you should get another doctor to examine you and he/she may do an X-ray of the wrist or lower arm. That is the best way to rule out a fracture. A splint can help ito relive the pain in your wrist/joint. ...Read more
