Wound Won T Heal After Surgery
Something is wrong: Gosh, why wait sooooo long? What has gone on during that period of time....this is way too long of a time period for this to be going on. Did it heal and then perhaps come back? Mor never healed? Did the doctor attempt to redo the procedure? Sometimes nail spicule is left behind, or a cyst develops.....you need to get this fixed. I'd also get xrays to make sure no bone involvement.See 1 more doctor answer
Rotator cuff tear: Yes it can. Depending on the type and degree of tear
Typically 4-6 weeks: After the surgery procedure it typically takes 4-6 weeks of rehab to get back to activities you will have to gradually decrease your swelling, increase you motion, strength and endurance I have patients who have this done who go back to office after the weekend (3-4 days).
It doesn't: The acl cannot heal on its own. It often scars down around the surrounding structures, but it does not return to normal function without a reconstruction. However, the decision to reconstruct is a very personal and individual decision that should be discussed with your friendly neighborhood orthopedic surgeon / sports medicine surgeon. Take the time to go over your own situation with the surgeon!
Doubtful: The tfcc has two components. The central component is cartilage with poor blood supply that is not capable of healing on its own if torn. The peripheral component is both ligamentous and cartilaginous, has better blood supply and is capable of healing if torn. However the majority of peripheral tears require arthroscopic repair, a trial of immobilization may result in the tear healing sometimes.
Yes, depends: Depends on the extent of injury. Your orthopedic surgeon is the best guide. You always can get second opinion.
Can a 11 month insubstance tear in central insertional fibres of the distal Archilles tendon heal without surgery?
Partial tears might: If it is a complete tear, no. If it is a partial tear, there is a chance that it might heal without surgery. A medical boot that limits movement of the Achilles tendon, one that immobilizes the ankle, would certainly be needed.
Hello! Almost a month ago I had a tailbone cyst surgery. Is there some sort of a diet or sth to help a deep and big wound heal?
Will labra tear on shoulder that is detached heal with phyiscal thearpy? 6 weeks of PT with slight improvement. Surgery suggested.
Depends on wound.: If you have a wound as a result of a surgical incision then usually local care with keeping it clean, a topical antibacterial ointment and a dressing should heal it. If it is a venous ulcer, then you would need a full venous evaluation with a venous reflux sonogram and closure of any refluxing valves. It would be wise for you to see a vein specialist for an evaluation.See 1 more doctor answer
Depends: Http://www. Theshouldercenter. Com/rotator-cuff-tear. Htm an acute injury can result in significant weakness but not mean that there is a large tear. We need more information and a clearer extent of pathology and diagnosis. A drop arm test by itself is not sufficient to make the decision for surgery. Consider a more detailed evaluation with a shoulder specialist to review your options.See 2 more doctor answers

I have a slap tear in my shoulder. Is it possible for the tear to heal on its own without a surgery or is surgery theonly way to go? Are there any long term effects?
Depends: Slap lesions don't heal on their own. There is good data to support that. Not all slap lesions need surgery. If you have no pain or other symptoms nothing needs to be done. If you have pain try physical therapy first. If that fails, you may need surgery to repair your labrum, or tenodese (cut and reimplant in a different location) your biceps tendon. Choice depends on age, activity level etc.See 3 more doctor answers
What's the best way to heal a post thrombotic wound on the leg that doesn't close? Little blood flow, even when compressed. Is surgery recommended?
DVT and ulcer: A wound or ulcer on the leg/ankle associated with venous hypertension will be difficult to heal. These wounds require compression in addition to regular wound care. A venous and arterial insufficiency ultrasounds are helpful before the compression devices are used to assess for safety. Okay to ask for a referral to a wound care clinic.
It just needs...: To heal up. I would apply traumeel cream (or ointment) to help promote healing. It is homeopathic and available online or at most whole foods stores. This is anecdotal, but I have been personally using it for myself my family and my patients for 25 years. It is very safe, so you can apply it as often as you want. Sometimes I will apply it four or five times a day on cuts on myself.
If: The meniscus is truly torn, it does not heal by itself.
I have a tear proximal femoral origin of the acl. Do I need surgery, if not, how long will it take to heal?
Almost complete tear medial patellar retinaculum need surgery or can heal by it self? Takes how long to heal? I feel stiff n painnful
It depends.: If it's your first time tearing it, it may have the potential to heal. If it's happened repeatedly, then you may need surgical stabilization.
