Would Taking A Vitamin B Supplement With A Centrum Tablet Cause Problems
Unlikely: All the vitamins in the b group are water soluble. What your body doesn't use immediately, it tends to wash out in the urine fairly quickly, so it's pretty hard to take a toxic dose of any of these except b6 which can cause neuropathy if taken in large doses over a long period of time. Bottom line: unless you're taking handfuls of b6 with your centrum, problems are unlikely. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am taking a vitamin b complex supplement daily, can I take a daily multi vitamin in addition to that and if so what would you recommend I take?
Yes: While b complex is often helpful, it doesn't have the many other essential nutrients found in a multivit. As long as the total amount of b6 in both supplements doesn't exceed 200 mg (which is unlikely) it's safe to take both, though it may not be necessary to take an extra b complex if you get a good multivitamin. There are many good brands- see http://bit. Ly/1b36cq0 any in the top 30 are great. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

No unless too many: B vitamins have a wide margin of safety and are generally non-toxic. One exception is vitamin b6. High doses of b6 can cause neuropathy, but this is rare in those taking less than 500 mg a day and there is no need to take such large amounts! However, b vitamins can increase energy and taking high doses later in the day could be stimulating and might prevent sleep. ...Read more
I've seen vitamin supplements marketed as "stress formula" - usually w/higher doses of B vitamins. Are these safe to use and do they work for stress?
Don't waste money!: There is so much false hype in marketing vitamins. No vitamins will have any effect on stress.
