Probably not...: Go to check out if you have UTI and if you can empty the bladder. A straight-forward ovarian cyst removal should not affect how you urinate. So, see Doc for clarifying... ...Read more

Pain with urination: No it is not normal to have pain with urination in this case. You were likely catheterized during the procedure and that can be very irritating and even increase risk for bladder infection. Drink tons of water, empty your bladder every time you even think you need to go. See your practitioner for urinalysis. ...Read more

Rule out UTI: The large ovarian cyst should not cause pain on urination. Be sure you don't have a uti. Check 25-oh vit d, it might be low with the ovarian cysts. Possibly the Aspirin could be irritating the lining of the urethra if there is no infection or some thing in your diet might be the irritant. ...Read more

Need removal: Typically a CA-125 level would be checked to help determine the likelihood of malignancy. Sounds low based on the US findings. Regardless, the mass should be removed to relieve your symptoms and so that a pathologist can evaluate the ovary. Most times both tubes and ovaries would be removed and sometimes the uterus.
