You were likely catheterized during the procedure and that can be very irritating and even increase risk for bladder infection. Rule out UTI: The large ovarian cyst should not cause pain on urination. Be sure you don't have a uti. Check 25-oh vit d, it might be low with the ovarian cysts. Need removal: Typically a CA-125 level would be checked to help determine the likelihood of malignancy. Sounds low based on the US findings. Regardless, the mass should be removed to relieve your symptoms and so that a pathologist can evaluate the ovary. Most times both tubes and ovaries would be removed and sometimes the uterus.
