Pain with urination: No it is not normal to have pain with urination in this case. You were likely catheterized during the procedure and that can be very irritating and even increase risk for bladder infection. Need removal: Typically a CA-125 level would be checked to help determine the likelihood of malignancy. Sounds low based on the US findings. Regardless, the mass should be removed to relieve your symptoms and so that a pathologist can evaluate the ovary. Most times both tubes and ovaries would be removed and sometimes the uterus. NOT NORMAL: Especially that nothing major was found. I would however rule out diabetes in the first place before checking other things. You lost weight, eat a lot a pee a lot.
