Not likely the cause: Typically ovarian cysts don't cause bleeding unnless they rupture or get twisted onto their own tubes etc...Light bleeding after sex is quite common for those having a male partner who is a bit on the long-side--repetitious trauma of the penis pushing/thrushing on the cervix which can bleed a bit. They do not : Ovarian cysts do not cause weight gain. Perhaps you are reading something about polycystic ovarian syndrome. In this case many women who struggle with weight gain also have multiple small ovarian follicles referred to as polycystic ovaries. This is not the same thing as having an ovarian cyst. But the usg today shows minimal ascites and a cystic mass measuring 5.0✖️3.2✖️4.4 cm
