If you had a an air embolism due to air being trapped in the vaginal cavity; how long would it take to show signs/ symptoms?
Not happening: Air in the vaginal cavity is normal- it doesn't' get absorbed into the blood stream from there. An air embolism is a bubble of air within a blood vessel. For it to cause symptoms that bubble has to be relatively large. I have been having symptoms of bv or a yeast infection so I tried the method of a hydrogen peroxide douche. Could I get an air embolism from this?
No air embolism, but: ...something doesn't compute. BV and yeast cause quite different symptoms; they are rarely confused with one another. BV symptoms are mostly odor and discharge, without irritation or itching. Yeast mostly causes irritation and redness, with scant white discharge, or none, and little or no odor.
