I'm 23 and have worm glasses since I was 10 because I am near and far sighted. Is there a procedure that would make my eyes the same?
Eye imbalance: This condition is called anisometropia or an imbalance in the refractive error of the eyes. If the imbalance is large enough glasses alone will not correct it and contact lenses may be required for good vision. Lasik is also a reliable way to correct refractive error and can correct near and farsightedness. ...Read more

If you have no other eye problems but see squiggly shapes or "worm" like shapes they may be eye floaters. These are usually no problem; most people learn to ignore them. Worms???: I don't know what it means to "worm" an eye. If there is direct contact of someone's mouth with your eye, and if that person has an oral herpes outbreak at the time, AND if you have not previosly had oral herpes yourself, then the virus might be transmitted. Within a few days, you would have severe pain in the eye. If that happens, see a doctor immediately. Otherwise, I see no cause for worry. ...Read more

I have a yellow dot in my eye, looks almost like a small worm. It's constant in my eye and when I read it bounces along. What is it? It never leaves.
I don't know!: Spots or blurry patches that drift in front of your eyes but don't block vision are called "floaters" and they are pretty common. But something that you can see? Perhaps you have some scleral (white of the eye) discoloration of a blood vessel, which you can see, but this is completely separate from a floater. I suggest you consult an Ophthalmologist for an evaluation. Good wishes:) ...Read more

I had a tiny floater in my right eye similar to a segmented transparent worm in shape, now I have another one in the left, how can we remove them?
Three options: Three options: live with it, yag laser, and vitrectomy. You need an exam to establish that it is the floaters that are the cause of your concern. The yag laser is less common and useful sometimes. More likely for bad floaters is vitrectomy. Vitrectomy is generally safe and effective but has a few side effects. Cataract is most common and should be considered. ...Read more

No: In the U.S., where the tap water is clean, washing hands with tap water is fine... and regular soap is a bonus. In general, nothing else is needed (no Dettol nor other antiseptics). Also, "worm eggs" in newspapers is not a normal worry... unless the newspapers have been used to catch pet poop. If poop is involved, one can go ahead with using regular soap. ...Read more

Depends on cause: The appearance of "sunken eyes" may develop for a few reasons. As we age, the skin of the lower lids tends to thin, revealing the darker muscle beneath and giving the lower lid a darker appearance. Also, we lose volume in our lower lid and cheeks, creating a "sunken" effect in the lower lid. Treatment is aimed at restoring this volume and the cheek to lid relationship. ...Read more

Talk with your doctor about your allergy and eye symptoms. ...Read more
