Wont Take A Bottle
Typically at one: It is often recommended to change from baby formular to regular milk at around 12 months. Some folks start a bit earlier and some later, but one year is the usual mark. Some change to whole milk, but others change to 2%--i personally think 2% is appropriate for most kids because we have so much fats from other sources. Consult doc if u have more concerns. Good luck. ...Read more
When should a child be taken off a bottle and pacifier? How do you ween also? My son is drinks milk from a bottle and use a pacifier for security.
The natural time of : Weaning is around a year, when whole milk & milk products are limited to 16-21 0z./day to avoid constipation, iron deficiency anemia (which can cause developmental delays), & ?'ed appetite for solids. Juice is limited to 4-6 oz./day. Sipping milk/juice off & on or falling asleep with a bottle promotes cavities. Use an open-mouthed cup with 2 handles to promote lip closure for speech. ...Read more

My 3-month-old breastfed baby won't take a bottle. Are there some special bottles or nipples he might take?
Experiment: You may have to try different types. Also, your baby may resist taking the bottle from you. He smells your breast milk and may be confused by the plastic bottle. Have dad or a grandparent give the bottle, and you get a break for a while. If the baby is hungry, he will probably take the bottle better from them. ...Read more
Not necessarily: Infants may use & abandon a pacifier depending on their degree of attachment & availability of interesting alternatives. I have had kids that never took to one and some that carried one about until preschool.Sudden removal confuses a todler who wonders why they are being punished, or why mommy took my best buddy away. The wounded trust may last a lifetime. Reduce paci time gradually & they toss it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

How long should I wait to breastfeed if I took alka seltzer plus? (night time) It has 500 mg aspirin! How long will it take to be out of my breastmilk
Wouldn't worry: If baby is otherwise healthy I would continue to feed and just avoid aspirin in the future. We don't like to expose kids with any viral illness because of its association with Reye syndrome under those conditions. Otherwise it is just there, and a relative transfer of 2-10% occurs. If sick, pump and dump for 8 hours and it should be fine thereafter. ...Read more
No: I do not advise giving drugs of any kind to induce sleep for infants and young children. If your 20 months infant is having trouble sleeping the best thing to do is to consult with the baby's pediatrician as there may be something correctable that is interfering with a normal sleeping pattern for this child. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
