14 week surgical Abortion vs miscarriage. Does the womb look the same a day later or will a doctor be able to tell it was an abortion if he scanned me?

14 week surgical Abortion vs miscarriage. Does the womb look the same a day later or will a doctor be able to tell it was an abortion if he scanned me?

Experienced Dr Knows: Surgical abortion (or miscarriage) has stretching of the the cervix, the lowest part of the uterus, to remove the fetus. That stretching leaves bruising, tiny (less than 1/8" long) tears, bleeding, and even clots or tissue. An OB/GYN will definitely know SOMETHING went on with your cervix. If you are trying to hide your abortion from your doctor, ask yourself why. Your doctor needs to know. ...Read more

I had half unprotected half protected (condom) sex 12 days after d&c, am I safe from womb infection from the d&c? Bleeding stopped and no pain.

Likely safe: Any episode of unprotected sex puts one at risk for vaginal and potential uterine infection, but by 12 days and cessation of bleeding, one would not expect an acute infection from the d&c. ...Read more

I have got a womb infection as per doctor without doin any test, is smoking good for me, I get sharp pains in my lower tummy an lower back?

I have got a womb infection as per doctor without doin any test, is smoking good for me, I get sharp pains in my lower tummy an lower back?

No, its not: Endometritis can be diagnosed by physical exam alone, but is usually a serious infection requiring antibiotics. Smoking is never good for you, decreases blood flow, which is not good for either resolving infections or promoting healing. If your doctor did not recommend treatment, make an appointment with another gyn for a second opinion. It is often caused by gonorrhea/chlamydia and is serious. ...Read more

Had a miscarriage just over a week ago and I have a uterus infection and on co-amoxiclav does it ease bleeding and blood clots?

Not directly: Antibiotics were prescribed to treat your uterine infection. They do not directly treat uterine bleeding with clots. However, if your infection is the cause of your bleeding, then the antibiotics can help indirectly by resolving the underlying cause. Talk to your doctor about other medications to reduce your bleeding, depending on what your most recent ultrasound showed. Take Care! ...Read more

I got miscarriage last week. Do I need a curette since my womb is under medication?

I don't know: Sometimes a miscarriage is completed spontaneously and no curettage is needed. If it is incomplete and some tissue remains within the uterus a curettage is necessary. I'm not sure which is the case with you or what you mean by your "womb is under medication". Your doctor will be the best one to answer your question. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Was pregnant 4months water came rushing out my vagina had a miscarriage what can be wrong will I be able to keep a baby in my womb?

Absolutely: Although you may have had a bad outcome the first time, that does not mean that it has to be the same way the next time. You should definitely see a high risk OBGYNbefore you become pregnant again to determine whether or not you might need medications to support your pregnancy or a cerclage to keep your pregnancy in for a longer period. Best of luck. ...Read more

I had 2 miscarriages at 17 weeks due to acute chorioamnionitis. Can it occur again in next pregnancy & how can it be treated in next pregnancy.

I had 2 miscarriages at 17 weeks due to acute chorioamnionitis. Can it occur again in next pregnancy & how can it be treated in next pregnancy.

Not likely: Chorioamnionitis is usually an acute event that does not recur. If this has happened to your twice then that is rare and should be evaluated. I would schedule a visit with a maternal fetal medicine specialist in your area and discuss testing that can be done before you get pregnant again. Also you can discuss how your next pregnancy could be managed differently. ...Read more
