Woke Up With Ringing In One Ear
A few years ago I woke up deaf in one ear, the right ear, that was the side I slept on. I was fine before going to bed.
No relation: The fact that you slept on that side had nothing to do with it. Keep in mind that you change position on average every 20 minutes while sleeping. Read more
My 8 month old woke up this morning with one ear red hot and swollen. Its her outer ear, mostly the lobe, dosnt look to go inside the ear. What is thi?
Follow this am: People often tell me that their child's ear is red, then we end up diagnosing ear infection later in the day/week. However, I think it's also common that kids ears are red b/c they sleep on them or maybe b/c kid has a fever. If redness persists, especially w/pain or fever, good idea to have it checked. Read more

Spontaneous and short lived ringing in one ear - very loud, it almost feels like I've been hit in the head. This happens once every few days.
Tinnitus: If your tinnitus is of recent origin and if it's associated with new hearing loss and/or vertigo, evaluation by an otolaryngologist or a neurologist is recommended. However if you're experiencing only periodic short bursts of tinnitus, I would hold off on any otoneurolgic investigation at this time and regard your symptoms as nothing serious. See a specialist as needed. Read more

I keep losing hearing one ear and it has loud ringing. It only lasts a few seconds & doesn't hurt. It has happened 3 times today. Should I be worried?
Yes: These types of symptoms could be indicative of many different problems, from infection to allergy. Since many infections are viral, the body will clear them within 5-7 days. If symptoms last longer than that, or if there is any bleeding from the ear, making an appointment to see your doctor would be the next step. Read more

One week h/o dizziness and ringing in ears, thought might be from taking ocp's since I take 300 mg wellbutrin, (bupropion) but off ocp's 5 days, still persistent?
Wellbutrin (bupropion) s/e?: Don't know how long you've taken Wellbutrin (bupropion), (bupropion) but dizziness and ringing in the ears are both uncommon side effects. That said, discuss with prescribing doctor to consider lower dose of Wellbutrin (bupropion). If symptoms persist, see an ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor for evaluation and guidance.
