Withdrawal Bleeding After Taking Nordette Ecp
Use Plan B: Emergency contraception is a high dose of birth control to disrupt the hormonal patterns to delay or prevent ovulation. Abnormal bleeding after is common but does not happen in most people. Check preg test in 10 days to confirm it worked and see a doctor to start more reliable contraception.
Emergency contraception is the method a woman can use to avoid getting pregnant, after she has received sperm in her vagina. She takes the hormone pills, which are usually larger doses of hormones used in oral birth control pills, within a short time (days) after her sexual activity, ...Read more
Will Depo-Provera provera (medroxyprogesterone) work immediately if taken during withdrawal bleeding from emergency contraception?
The use of an: Emergency contraceptive pill will not impact effectiveness of Depo Provera. However, I am not sure that I exactly understand what you are asking.
If I have withdrawal bleeding after taking Nordette (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) ECP does it mean I am not pregnant? How likely would it be that I am not pregnant?
Likely not preg: If you completed entire course of med and are having period (bleeding) when you should, unlikely you are pregnant. If concerned do home preg test on first morning urine. If neg, repeat in 7-10 days. If both neg very unlikely you are preg. Hope this helps. Best of luck. Dr. R
Will withdrawal bleeding (very light brownish discharge) 6 days after taking ECP (Nordette) assures me that I'm not pregnant?
What to do if I had bleeding 7 days after taking nordette (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) as ecp. Is that my monthly period or just a side effect of?
What do you advise if I had bleeding 7 days after taking nordette (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) as ecp. Is that my monthly period or just a side effect of?
Side effect: Spotting or bleeding after taking emergency contraception is a common side-effect. Best wishes!
I had sex on day 4 of period (Oct 19). Took nordette (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) as ecp (Oct 20). Period ended Oct 22. Experiencing period-like bleeding Oct 25. Am I pregnany?
Probably not: Because of the timing and use of ECP, you are not likely pregnant. You can check a test if you are wirried. The abnormal bleeding is due to the ECP, and should correct itself. Do you need to be thinking about a better form of birth control?
LMP-oct 9, 25 day cycle period due-nov 3 Unprotected sex-oct 21 took nordette (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) ecp 1st&2nd dose-oct 22 8am 8pm bleeding-nov. 3-5 am I pregnant?
Unlikely, but...: Emergency contraception pills can alter the menstrual for the cycle in which they were taken, and sometimes the next cycle too. One should be sure to check a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex, because emergency contraception pills work most of the time, but not all the time. Also, be sure to start using a reliable form of birth control, so that one will NOT need emergency pills again.
I am taking birth control continuously. I accidentally took a few inactive pills and now I am having withdrawal bleeding. Can I stop it?
Start a new pack: If you are taking oral contraceptive pills continuously and then take inactive pills, you are correct, you will get withdrawal bleeding. You did not mention how many days of inactive pills you have taken. There are 7 days of inactive pills in a 1-month pill pack. The withdrawal bleed usually starts (and ends) during the 7 days of inactive pills. Starting a new pack will stop withdrawal bleed.
Withdrawal Bleeding: Wow. Please define what you mean by 'withdrawal bleeding'. Are you thinking of taking Plan B while you are on birth control? Really?
Feb18 messed around with guy. Thought precum got on me. 3hrs l8r took plan b. Withdrawal bleeding for about a week now gone. Pls tell me I'm not preg?
Basically "no": I don't know what you mean when you say withdrawal bleeding. Can you ask this question again in your own words (not jargon?) this term has a specific medical meaning, but I sees it misused on the internet all the time. Withdrawal bleeding, implantation bleeding, and decimal bleeding are terms that are used online in non-medical groups - and 99% of the time incorrectly.
Pregnancy: Implantation bleeding exclusively occurs if you are pregnant. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available at any pharmacy. This is how you tell the difference.
