After wisdom teeth removal a week ago, I began bleeding and spat out a large-ish blood clot. I am soaking through gaze. Should I be worried?
Post op bleeding: Bleeding should be substantially controlled within the first hour or two, and certainly by the next day. It's common to have some slight temporary bleeding when the wound site is irritated from tongue, food, brushing or flossing during the first week. Anything more than that should be discussed with the dentist who removed the tooth.See 1 more doctor answer

I have bleeding from my tooth after extraction of wisdom teeth. Now it is the 3rd day but still bleeding what can I do?
Best w post-op check: After tooth extraction, it is common to have some blood even after 3 days. If that is the case, follow: first, apply a wet tea bag over the area and lightly bite down for 20 minutes or so. Tannin in the black tea helps the blood to harden better. Stay on soft food. Drink lots of water and do not disturb the area. If more than just a small amount of oozing, check back with the dentist soon.
Yes: After an extraction, a blood clot forms in the socket. Clots begin as red blood cells that stick together. In the first 2 days as your saliva washes over the clots, some of these cells come loose and make your saliva bright red in color. If you see dark., heavy bleeding from the extraction socket this is not normal. Bite on wet guaze or a teabag and see your dentist or oral surgeon right away!See 1 more doctor answer
Varies: Postoperative bleeding from the removal of teeth may be influenced by the position and number of teeth removed, if the teeth were erupted or impacted, if the teeth were removed due to a chronic or acute periodontal problem, and if sutures were placed. Certain prescribed medications and supplements can also prolong bleeding.See 1 more doctor answer
Depends: It depends. Was the surgery pretty straightforward or were there complications? How much bleeding is there? It's not uncommon for the extraction sites to ooze for a few days, but if there's a lot of blood, i'd get a follow up appointment with the surgeon for a check.
