Can check every day: May be big adult lice. The usual plan is to have somebody remove every nit (lice eggs) he can find after the first Nix (or other lice-killer) shampoo. Checking hair and head for lice or nits, every day, will prevent lice from gaining a foothold again. Repeating the Nix (permethrin) shampoo in 1 week helps. As long as any and all nits are quickly removed each day, the lice problem goes away. ...Read more

Can you get head lice from walking in the woods? I noticed a tiny brown bug crawling on my phone and didn't know if it fell off my head

There are countless insects it could have been, but if it was on your phone, then it's no longer on your scalp. Remember to always check for ticks after being in the woods - if you get them off in time, they can't spread disease. ...Read more
