It could very well be that the best treatment for you is actually a combination. ...Read more

I have small red spots on my torso after tanning. Do they get larger if not treated? Do they go away after time?

Unsure: As with any rash an eyes on exam is always best. It could be an irritation around the hair follicles. If not too bad observe it for a few days. More importantly - why tanning? Dark skin culturally viewed as healthy but it's on the same scale as smoking as cancer risk. Invest in spray on if needed or gradual coloring body lotion. http://www.cdc.gov/cancer/skin/basic_info/indoor_tanning.htm ...Read more

I am noticing some bluish veins on the side of my forehead beginning to show. Nothing bulging, but they were not there until after a brief illness.

In The Wrong Vein: If that's the only problem you have at your age, you're Golden! This is fairly common, especially in light-skinned people of advancing age as the skin thins in various areas. Maybe you just lost enough weight for them to show. Now, don't go binging on Haggen-Dazs, it probably won't work. Just a part of the life process. But if they become more and more prominent, or bulge, see your doctor. ...Read more

You : You are going to have to see a dermatologist for a complete evaluation. Since they are coming and going, it could represent hives though it is atypical. It could also represent a vascular disease such as reynaud's. If the white patches stay, it could represent vitiligo or tinea versicolor, but it sounds like they come and go. Please have a complete evaluation for your symptoms as they are very unusual. ...Read more
