Does too much iron in the heart cause tachycardia and hyperventilation? Or does it cause a feeling like the heart is not responding to exertion?
Clarify: If you have any reason to believe you have hemochromatosis or friedreich's ataxia (the two "iron in the heart" diseases), or if you have heart-related symptoms, don't self-diagnose or spend time on a "pop" / internet disinformation site. Get seen. We can't diagnose or treat at a distance, much as we'd like to. These are both serious.
Can sinus tachycardia cause heart to race even though the heart rate is normal? What should I do for something like this? I am on no meds for this.
Yes: Sinus tachycardia is defined as a heart rate greater than 100 beats per minute. Depending on the degree of tachycardia and the individual patient, one may feel their heart racing. Sinus tachycardia is normal and expected with exertion, sickness, or excitement. Sinus tachycardia is not normal when resting comfortably without any associated condition. Unlikely: Maximum HR is age related. At your age, 180 can be due to sinus tachy but only with reason eg, strenuous exercise, severe pain, anxiety thyroid XS or infection. More likely you have supraventricular tachycardia, a common but pathological condition. Your doctor will discuss treatment options. Meanwhile avoid nicotine, caffeine, alcohol, pseudoephedrine, and recreational drugs.
Very unlikely at: Your young age unless there were other major comirbidities.See 1 more doctor answer
