Unlikely: Sounds like you taking medications that target you stomach - they should not cause any damage to kidneys. Having said that, the visceral (from internal organs) pain and discomfort is often hard to localize due to referred sensation and the way our nervous system works. Took Carafate (sucralfate) . Caused nausea. Stopped it then Nausea went away. Started amoxicillin and ciproloxacin eye drops. Nausea came back. Won't go away. ?

Nausea: Are you still taking the eye drops? You can get nausea related to the drops. Check with your Dr. if the nausea persists despite being off all medication. Are there any other symptoms associated with the nausea? ...Read more

H Pylori: Hi, Neither Carafate nor Nexium (esomeprazole) eradicates H Pylori, Carafate coats the lining of the stomach therefore protect it from acid, Nexium (esomeprazole) decreases the secretion of acid therefore decreases the damage from acid. The only way to eradicate H. Pylori is Antibiotics treatment. ...Read more
