What can causing intermittent tingling under one shoulder blade? Could it be shingles?

No: I say no because u said intermittent, so am presuming this has been going on for a while. Commonly, tingling or some sensation...Itchy, pain... Occurs prior to the outbreak of the rash of shingles, but generally this happens within 10 days. The rash is like crops of tiny blisters that occur along a nerve path on only one side of the body. Likely tingle will resolve on own. If not, c the doc. Read more

Lately in the evening every night I get this tingling burning feeling under my left shoulder blade, usually I am doing something what can cause ths?

The something: Your synopsis states that you have a sensation after you are doing something. Clearly "something" seems to be triggering your discomfort. Stop doing "it" and see if the "something" resolves itself. You may have a trigger point and a physical therapist might be helpful to you. Read more

What would be some causes for getting a tingling/numbing sensation from the shoulder blade all the way to the tip of fingers?

Irritated Situation: If you have a cardiac condition, consult your physician for help. Cardiac symptoms differ for different people. Be safe rather than sorry. Alternatively, peripheral nerve entrapment from the scapula can cause this and even impingement closer to the spine along a specific dermatome (sensory path on the skin). Lastly, shingles (chicken pox) can cause symptoms anywhere along a nerve on the back. Read more

Pleuritic catch: Several possibilities. The pain may be related to irritation of the pleura (lining of the lung) or ribs or muscles around the scapula. A chest x ray would be a good start but may not show any abnormalities. Have your physician examine you & if pain is significant consider other tests eg: ct or mri ibuprofen can control the pain if it persists. Good luck. Read more

Shoulder blade cracked;nowleft arm goes tingling once in awhile. Can injured left shoulder cause me to feel more discomfort on elbow than my shoulder?

Shoulder blade cracked;nowleft arm goes tingling once in awhile. Can injured left shoulder cause me to feel more discomfort on elbow than my shoulder?

Tingling in arm: May be due to nerve or vascular compression (more often the former). The injury that resulted in the shoulder blade fracture may have caused another problem. (nerve root, brachial plexus, peripheral nerve) Sometimes traction to the ulnar nerve causes parasthesias down to the hand and discomfort around the elbow. A good neurological-exam possibly an EMG-NCS may need to be done to sort this out. Read more

Can herniate disc cause chin/ lip tingling? Have shoulder blade tendonitis & tear, tingling hands and ostheoarthritis. Emg said axonal polyneuropathy.

Not due to disc: Get further information about your peripheral neuropathy issues. The chin and lip symptoms are in the distribution of the trigeminal nerve and involve brainstem, facial mechanisms, not "discs"! you might have a dental issue affecting the mental nerve branch. Need to uncover causation here. Many such problems respond well to treatment. Read more

After 5 days of suspected shingles symptoms without a rash and pain under shoulder blade around to breast area. What else could it be?

Shingle v. skeletal: Even in the absence of a rash, if you have had shingles in the past, you can still have "herpetic neuralgia, " which is simply nerve pain due to the inflammation of the nerves. Alternatively, this type of pain could occur due to "costochondritis, " which is essentially a pulled muscle between your rib spaces. Could have happened during exercise, sudden twist or even because of wire from a tight bra. Read more
