Will Provera Dissolve An Ovarian Cyst
What prosedures should I take after using provera (medroxyprogesterone) 3months to treat 3small ovarian cyst but its still the same situation?
Just make: Sure they aren't getting bigger. Having small follicular cysts is not unusual. Provera (medroxyprogesterone) will not make them go away. At 26 it's not cancer. Was it dep-provera (medroxyprogesterone) or oral cyclic provera (medroxyprogesterone)? Are u trying to get pregnant? If they are small, say less than 2 cm each, I wouldn't worry but kinda need to know the context.
A cyst is a structure or mass that consists of a cellular lined sac. It is typically filled with fluid but may be filled with solid material. It can be congenital, traumatic, or acquired. They may develop nearly anywhere in the body and usually require complete excision for eradication or they are likely to recur. Fluid filled sacs that are not cellular lined ...Read more
Probably not: In the usual therapeutic dosage of 10 to 20 mg per day medroxyprogesterone acetate is very unlikely to prevent the maturation of ovarian follicles, to block ovulation or to interfere with the formation of benign functional ovarian cysts. It will probably not "get rid of " other benign ovarian cysts either and will certainly not "get rid of" neoplastic ovarian cysts which are malignant.See 1 more doctor answer
I have a 3cm hemorrhagic ovarian cyst on my right ovary. I'm on provera for 10 days. Could cyst be shrinking yet the pain has gotten worse?
Need to see your MD: For evaluation and possibly an ultrasound exam, best wishes
Discuss with doc: It is normal for a small cyst to develop on the ovaries from time to time. Ovarian cysts are quite common in women during their reproductive years and may be a single cyst or many cysts. Most cysts are benign and only require monitoring. Most are cysts which develops from tissue that changes in the normal process of ovulation. They usually disappear within 6-8 weeks.
Not really: The depoprovera shot will not really shrink or get rid of cyst. Most ovarian cysts simply resolve on their own within 6-8 weeks. The shot may help prevent other cysts from forming though by essentially turning the ovaries off during the 3 months that it works.See 1 more doctor answer
How can I get rid of PCOS ovarian cysts naturally? I am taking metformin and provera (medroxyprogesterone)
Part of you: PCOS is not something you get rid of....it's something that's part of your nature. You can do things that keep your weight at a reasonable point like diet and exercise. The more weight you gain, the worse the PCOS can get. Metformin helps some, doesn't help others. Provera (medroxyprogesterone) is just to keep your periods regular. You may need fertility meds to help you ovulate when you want to conceive.
I had regular period before using provera (medroxyprogesterone) for 3month because of 3 ovarian cyst. When I stop using it my priod became irregular why?
Depo-provera?: If referring to depo-provera, it is not uncommon to have irregular menstrual cycles afterwards, as ovulatory cycles are temporarily disrupted. It takes time for Lupron (leuprolide) to be completely out of one's system. It is not uncommon for several months to pass before regular menstrual cycles return. However, if still irregular menses after 6 months, it is reasonable to consult gyn for further evaluation.
I have been on Depo-Provera provera (medroxyprogesterone) for 2 1/2 years and was told dec 12 I have a bunch of small ovarian cysts will the shot affect them in anyway?
Ovarian cysts: In general, no. Birth control shots decreases the chances of you developing physiologic cysts but it does not eliminate either the cysts or the chances of developing cysts.
Hi. I have been bleeding almost every day for a few months. I have an ovarian cyst and been off Depo-Provera shot since march. Could this be reason for bleed?
Need pelvic exam: Need to see your primary care physician or OB-Gyn for a pelvic exam to check for other reasons like polyps and infections. At this late date, it is doubtful that past depo-provera use is the cause of your continued bleeding for months. Fibroids can cause irregular bleeding symptoms as well as hormonal shifts. Need to see dr.
I'm 19 had a mc in jan. Took provera (medroxyprogesterone) in feb to induce period. I haven't got a period this month and I have ovarian cyst ttc what can I do?
Birth control: Consider starting birth control to help regulate your cycles. I know you said you were trying to get pregnant now but I see you are 19. Consider if this is the right time in your life. You only get to be young once.
Worried, been off Depo-Provera 7 months only reddish brown bleeding. Very irregular, large ovarian cyst. Frequency to pee. All this related somehow?
I had an ovarian cyst of 2cm since May and after provera (medroxyprogesterone) for 2 weeks it shrunk. But after period I hav dull pain n bloating. How long does it cure?
Ovarian cysts: Provera (medroxyprogesterone) helps to shrink ovarian cysts (functional cysts). Usually the cysts will go away within 1-3 months. If you develop new cysts, your doctor may place you on birth control. Treatment of ovarian cysts depend on your age, size of cysts, your period, and symptoms., Most cysts are benign in women of childbearing age.

Dx: PCOS. Multiple bilateral ovarian cysts 30yr old nulligravida on Depo-Provera provera (medroxyprogesterone) for 5+yrs. How will cysts impact trying to conceive?
Ovulation: The issue with PCOS is that some women will not ovulate. The ovarian cysts are not the direct cause. They are a symptom of the hormonal imbalance present in PCOS patients.
Hi I hav a 2cm ovarian cyst and Dr gav me provera (medroxyprogesterone) for 2 weeks after tat ultrasound showed it shrunk. Then my period came but still dull pain and bloat?

I had a ovarian cyst and I had no period for a montt and a week ago I got Depo-Provera shot now I have headache nausea bad lowerab pain an chest what do I do?
Why depo in 1st plac: Sorry to hear what you car going through. Your symptoms are quite broad and difficult to tell the origins based on the info provided. However, having a history of an ovarian cyst (s) and absent menses for a month may indicate possible pcos as a cause. Lupron (leuprolide) is not generally consider a treatment option for this condition of course but the depot itself can be associated with headaches. Talk with pcp.See 1 more doctor answer
Age 45. Bleeding for 36 days. Provera, (medroxyprogesterone) BCP still bleeding. R ovarian cyst.. 9cm endometrial stripe. What does this mean? TSH WNL. Cramps, fatigue,
Aub: Could mean different things. Endometrial polyps, fibroids inside your uterus, hormonal imbalance, taking bcp and provera (medroxyprogesterone) at the same time, perimenopause, ovarian cyst producing hormones. I would check your female, adrenal and pituitary hormones to see if there is an imbalance if normal I would check the lining of your uterus.
I'm on my first month of LoEstrin Fe to dissolve an ovarian cyst. I'm on day 22 of my normal cycle but day 11 of the pill. I'm spotting. Normal?
Can be: Normally we like to start pill on first day of period, but not always practical. The dose of the pill may not be high enough to offset your body's normal cycle and that could explain the spotting. The pill may blunt your normal period resulting in less bleeding than normal. I am assuming your gyn doctor recommending several cycles of pill. If issue continues, discuss with them. Change pill?
