Will Pitioriasis Rosacea Go Away
Yes: I think you mean pityriasis rosea. This is a common rash in young adults, occurs mostly spring & fall. Usually starts with one large patch, the herald patch, followed by multiple smaller areas. Typically clears in about 6-8 weeks. It is rare for anyone else in the house to get it, even though it's thought to be viral. Treatment can be given if it's itchy, but treatment doesn't speed clearance. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Face is red and blotchy after a warm shower, what can I do to help the redness go away? Take an antihistamine? No i don't have rosacea
Flushing of face: Common problem and related to (1) rapid dilation of superficial blood vessels called capillaries that increase in diameter and blood flow in response to heat. With dilation, the body cools down by running more blood through the surface of the skin and it transfers heat away from the body (2) release of chemicals in mast cells that an antihistamine could block if you take it regularly. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I woke up yesterday with a red dot under my eye, in a place that had some severe swelling as of late due to a rosacea flare up. Will it go away?
9months since giving birth i still have a non raised red rosacea like rash on cheeks. Sometiimes its worse than others, will it ever go away?
Rarely does forever: Rosacea is very troublesome for many and involves the skin with good blood supply such as the cheeks and nose. Some things make it worse, such as diet, hormone manipulation, hot/ humid weather, etc. The mayo clinic newsletter last year had a great review that you may find helpful with a list of foods, etc., to avoid. Certain lasers are helpful, but skin prone to rosacea rarely is symptom free. ...Read more

I have red blotchy skin on my neck and chest. It doesn't itch or overly dry. It worsens with stress but never goes away. I've thought possibly rosacea?
Rosacea unlikely: if it is only on your neck and chest, it is unlikely to be rosacea. The fact that it does not itch tends to rule out allergic causes and fungal infection. Unfortunately, one really needs to examine and feel the rash in order to help make a diagnosis. Best to see your doctor for further evaluation. Sorry I cannot be more helpful. ...Read more
I was wondering what is the best medication for anxiety. I also have rosacea should I go back on a conceptive pill. Regards maeve brophy?
Anxiety: There is no one "best" medication for anxiety. I see that you've listed Lexapro in your medications, and this can be helpful for some people's anxiety but not everyone's. If your current medication is not providing the desired relief, please work with your physician to find something that helps. Also, most find that psychotherapy is an essential component of anxiety treatment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
