Will Oxygen Therapy Help My Grandma Who Is 65 And Has Blood Clots In Her Legs
Stage 4 lung cancer no chemo tumor grew & cancer spread, clinical trial only now, on oxygen for sob, blood clots in legs, what is life expectancy?
Hard to say/depends.: At this stage of lung cancer, the options are limited as is survival. If treatment is done , it's usually chemotherapy and radiation and/or surgery after adjuvant chemotherapy. There are certainly trials out there and i would recommend talking to your doctor before starting any, but the chance for success is likely limited, as the 5 year survival of stage IV is <5%, but it doesn't hurt to try. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

See: www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm364687.htm for the 13 approved uses for HBOT, false claims & side effects. ...Read more

Blood thinners: The mainstay of treatment is always blood thinners and there are many of these with more coming out all the time. Often the clot is left alone while the body dissolves it. Sometimes when the clot is very high up and extends above the top of the leg, the clot might be removed mechanically with a clot dissolver. Once that is done, a person still needs to be on blood thinners though. ...Read more
How to get rid of my right leg up to my stomach blood clots and inflammation for 10 month, please introduce the latest technology, method or treatment?
No good options: An old blood clot is difficult to remove, unlike a fresh clot. By now it will have organized & stuck to the vessel so cannot be removed.
